Encounter The Seeker
Born on a snowy day in Voorburg, the Netherlands, Ginny H.N. was raised in Bangkok by her grandmother, in a home full of love and simple days. When life brought her back to the Netherlands, everything changed. Moving from one household to another, she learned to be quiet, to observe, and to feel deeply what others couldn’t say out loud.
Years later, her path led her to Florida, to New Jersey, to a wedding in Seattle, and finally to a home in South Florida with her husband, their son, and their two English bulldogs. Through every chapter, she kept paying attention to people, to feelings, to the thoughts behind them, and to what it means to be human.
In 2025, all of it found its way into her first book, The Eternal Student.

The Eternal Student
A memoir of being human
For the first eight years of her life, home was Bangkok—barefoot mornings at the market, the warmth of her grandmother’s hand, simple days filled with love. She was known, she was safe, and she was happy in a way she wouldn’t feel again for a long time.
When Ginny moved to the Netherlands, everything changed. She went from household to household, moving more times than she could count. In each new home, she tried to be easy to love and never a burden. Even then, the hearts of others mattered more to her than her own. She couldn’t bear for anyone to feel the heaviness she quietly carried. So she showed up brave in the daylight and let herself break only at night, alone.
Words became her refuge. Holding a book felt like being held. With no money for notebooks, she wrote her feelings on sticky notes, saying on paper what she never could out loud.
As she grew older, life slowly filled the spaces where her words used to be, and for years she didn’t write at all. She lived instead. She loved and lost, held on and let go, laughed until it hurt and found beauty in the smallest things. She stumbled, more often than she’d like to admit, and began again—gathering everything that would one day find its way onto the page.
Then, after many seasons of living, her grandmother slipped out of her human form and into the atmosphere, traveling somewhere among the stars on a journey all her own. In the stillness that followed, Ginny felt a pull so strong it seemed to come from the universe itself—an invitation to pick up the pen again. This time, she wrote in real notebooks.
Day after day, she followed her thoughts wherever they led, through every hour and every quiet moment, writing what it means to be human: the joy and the doubt, the longing, the small everyday moments, and the questions we rarely say out loud. What she found wasn’t a revelation, but a remembering.
The Eternal Student is the record of that inner journey—the full, messy, beautiful experience of being human and the quiet work of coming home to oneself. It doesn’t ask you to follow. It walks beside you, a gentle companion wherever your own path leads.
A book that changes as you do. Every time you return, you’ll find something new, because you’ll be someone new.
You are not alone—not in your seeking, not in your becoming, not in your healing.

Light Returned
Giving back the light I have found and been given
Thank you for being here. Thank you for your existence. You are as much a part of this journey as the words themselves. I have carried each of you with me, quietly, as I floated through this earthly experience.
Your presence has been a silent anchor. This book is not just mine—it belongs to all of you. Please, take me—this book—with you wherever you go. Let me be the quiet presence on your shelf, the steady companion in your bag, the hand you reach for when life feels heavy. In these pages, you will find me, always waiting, always listening. If ever you need a friend, open these words, and let them remind you that you are seen, you are loved, and you are enough. You are the most extraordinary evidence of life's beauty.
With all the love I have, Ginny
